This forward-thinking employer are driven by their core values and are now looking for a reputable individual to join their Manufacturing team. An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Buyer to be responsible for negotiating and securing materials and plant on time and to specification, for the best possible value, whilst maintaining the necessary standards and quality required to ensure company targets and objectives are met.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience and knowledge of procurement within Housing/Construction or manufacturing sector is essential
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Good knowledge of construction method and materials
  • Interpersonal skills, particularly in negotiating.
  • Strong Mathematical and IT ability. Good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Ability to assess and analyse information
  • Good Commercial awareness
