The Role:

As a Build Administrator, you will do the following:

  • Typing of all correspondence.
  • Complex diary management. Including managing Head of Build’s inbox and arrange monthly Project Review Meetings per site.
  • Answer and action telephone calls. 
  • Progressing complaints as appropriate.
  • Programme Reviews with Head of Build and Build Managers (to upload to Anaplan and circulate to Project Team).
  • Sourcing agency placements for site (white collar & blue collar) via PSL agencies. Including holiday cover.
  • Co-ordinate holidays in the department to ensure adequate cover and bring any concerns to the attention of the Head of Build/Build Managers as appropriate.
  • Arrange meetings, rooms, equipment, refreshments, and lunches as required.  Greeting visitors at reception and take to respective meeting room.
  • Create and archive office files as appropriate.
  • Introduce new and temporary staff to colleagues, tour of building and run through computer and departmental procedures
  • Adhoc admin tasks for Build Managers/Head of Build

About you:

  • Some Administrative experience within a commercial office environment
  • Confident with using Xerox Copier/Scanner, Binding Machine, Plan Plotter, and a Laminator
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Intermediate IT skills in addition to Excel with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Able to be flexible by multi-tasking and re-prioritising tasks accordingly
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly professional and confident manner
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Proactive approach to solving issues
  • Customer service focused
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Ideally housebuilding or construction experience
  • Strong diary management
