Thorn Baker's fast-growing commercial & residential build client is looking for a Planner to join their façades installation branch. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a team of certified & experienced designers, installers, and managers for a busy and reputable business boasting a forward-thinking approach and technical expertise, as well as relationships with the most reputable contractors in their sector.

Planner's Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the programme and management for the construction project.
  • Liaise with the project management teams on all planning matters.
  • Produce tender information and programmes.
  • Analyse and evaluate construction methods, techniques, and logistics.
  • Attend adjudication meetings and present detailed explanation of programme and methodology.
  • Prepare presentations and attend customer interviews.
  • Prepare the master / contract / managing programme and supporting information.
  • Analyse / prepare project progress positions and forecast project completions.
  • Identify project risks / opportunities and participate in the management process.
  • Assist in the preparation of entitlement submissions.
  • Ensure that all aspects of safety are taken into consideration when planning a project.
  • Maintain close relationships and liaise with other members of the planning job family, contributing to the transfer of best practice.

Required Skills:

  • Proven track record in the construction industry with a strong understanding of all forms of construction and applicable forms of contract (NEC)
  • Previous experience & technical knowledge in Façade management would be advantageous.
  • The ability to use and produce programmes with Asta.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work.
  • Valid driving licence, able to travel to sites.
  • Experience of taking a lead role and acting as the sole planner.
