Construction Trainer Assessor

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Construction Trainer Assessor to join our award-winning construction client in the Wembley area. The successful candidate will deliver training and accreditation within the company's training academy and will work closely with senior management to provide outstanding training and assessment to support construction professionals internally and externally. This client is a CITB approved training organisation and has secured a large funding grant in 2023/24.Above all, we are looking for a great team player who is motivated and committed to ensuring all learners reach their full potential, make an impact within their organisations, and are fully prepared to embark on the next stage of their career journey.

Please note that candidates from other locations with good links to London will be considered for this hybrid role.

What you will deliver:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training modules in various construction disciplines
  • Conduct interactive training sessions that combine theoretical knowledge with practical hands-on experience
  • Demonstrate safe and proper usage of construction tools and equipment, emphasising industry best practises
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to students throughout their learning journey
  • Create and update training materials, resources, and assessments to ensure relevance and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to enhance training programmes based on industry trends and advancements
  • Evaluate student progress and performance, offer constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, safety, and excellence in all training activities

Desirable Skills and Criteria 

  • Experience in delivering training and a relevant assessment qualification 
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the construction industry, with a solid foundation in multiple construction disciplines
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications in construction training or education (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Award in Education & Training Level 3 or equivalent
  • CAVA Level 3 or equivalent
  • NVQ Skills in area of delivery - Groundworks, Formworks
  • Minimum L3 Occupational Workplace Supervision
  • Driving licence
  • CITB Site Safety Plus (Approved Tutor Certificate) or willingness to work towards it
  • IQA Level 4
  • EUSR Approved Trainer
  • Familiarity with City & Guilds
