Job Title- Contracts Manager (Groundworks)

Location Swindon to Basingsoke

Salary- £70000-£80000 per annum plus package

 

Thorn Baker is happy to be working alongside one of the regions best known and busiest groundworks and civil engineering companys to recruit a Groundworks Contracts Manager. The successful candidate will be based from Swindon managing a handful of sites as far east as Basingstoke. Thorn Baker's client are known for carrying out ground works on residential developments, bespoke commercial builds and leisure facilities across the region

Summary

The company in question has been growing for over 30 years and has a number of offices around the South and South West of England. During tough times our client has remained robust and continued growing and, due to a few new contracts in the region, is looking to take on an additional Contracts Manager to help with the increased workload

As Contracts Manager you will:

  • Have overall responsibility for multiple contracts 
  • Coordinate management teams, plant, trades, materials, matters concerning health and safety and various types of paperwork
  • Produce and analyse client project progress reports,updated costs and forecasts

 

Thorn Baker's client is looking for someone with:

  • Proven ability and experience delivering multiple concurrent Civil Engineering projects within a groundworks environment
  • Relevant qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS and 1st Aid as a minimum)
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor to motivate employees to achieve exacting standards of compliance
