Job Title: Pre-Construction Manager
Location: Manchester

Thorn Baker's leading technical and energy client is looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to prepare technical submissions on a range of projects and project values up to £10m+.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for producing professionally written proposal content by managing and supporting specific bid teams.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage and review all enquiries and determine what resources are required to return each bid.
• Produce tender return documents and manage the holistic bid process for new potential projects supporting both new and existing Clients.
• Working and managing day-to-day activities closely with the assigned bid team to ensure that the proposal matches requirements.
• Ensure internal governance process is managed and signed-off.
• Lead storyboarding sessions and participate in key review meetings and document production.
• Close working with engineering and operational delivery team during tender preparation
• Work closely with Technical Sales to prepare sales reports and presentations.

Required Skills:

• Proven skills in producing and editing bids & proposal content within a complex business environment.
• Ability to define complex technical issues and communicate them to a third party.
• Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to generate high quality technical documentation.
• Excellent organisational, management and team working skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
