Job Title- Senior Quantity Surveyor 

Location- Gwent, South Wales

Summary

Thorn Baker is pleased to be working with a Civil Engineering main contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a major highways scheme in South Wales. This role is of a Permanent nature and is programmed to last up to 5 years.

Thorn Baker's client is seeking a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor. The suitable individual will take up a key role in overseeing various commercial aspects of this prolific project and will be reporting directly into the Commercial Manager.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:

• Manage the supply chain (including drafting and issuing of subcontracts)
• Prepare internal contract valuations
• Develop & produce CVR reports
• Oversee application and invoicing process
• Compile forecasts and attend forecast Meetings

Thorn Baker's client is looking for someone with:

• Excellent understanding of NEC forms of contracts
• Demonstrable experience working on highways-based projects
• Ability to manage large, complex civils packages 
• Strong major infrastructure experience (in the UK)
• Experience in producing internal and external reports
