Summary
Thorn Baker is pleased to be assisting an established UK Marine Civil Engineering company to recruit a Section Engineer who will be based out of Devon but will be working on projects nationwide.
The company in question have continued growing year on year and, due to a number of projects which are due to start in 2021, require 2 further Section Engineer level candidates to come on board as soon as possible
The successful candidate should come from an engineering background and be fully capable of managing multimillion pound projects consisting largely of marine structures.

As Section Engineer you will:
- Partake in varying tasks ranging from setting out to managing sites and everything in between
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out correctly and signed off including RAMS, permits and other relevant documentation relating to health and safety
- Be dealing with various stakeholders on each project including internal management and client representatives
Thorn Baker's client is looking for someone with:
- A demonstrable working history consisting of civil engineering (preferably in marine structures/piling)
- The ability, and a willingness, to set out on site as well as manage projects
- The flexibility to work away during in week as and when required
- A marine related degree in civil engineering is preferred
- A practical understanding of working in marine conditions including tidal and weather
