A fantastic opportunity is in store for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the UK’s leading structural frame contractor based in Derby. Specialising in timber frame, they are well-known for their high quality, sustainable projects spread across some of the most recognisable construction projects on the market to date.

The Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will do the following:

• Work within commercial deadlines to ensure smooth delivery
• Accurately report and challenge costs ensuring both project and business values are met within given time frames
• Monitor cash flow reports, cost management and forecasting
• Attend meetings both pre and post construction
• Update monthly CVR/WIP with cost and commercial planned included
• Ensure commercial processes and procedures are practiced throughout the business
• Develop processes and procedures
• Negotiate and administrate all JCT/NEC and other forms of bespoke sub-contracts
• Ensure T&Cs are adhered to
• Liaise with supply chain when enquiring quotations for sub-contracted work

About you:

• 3+ years’ experience as a QS/SQS
• Structural steelwork/Timber experience (preferred)
• Organised, pro-active, and reputable
• Ability to digest large amounts of information about projects and delegate accordingly
• Full driving licence
• Willing to progress career to fullest potential
• IT literate
