Salary: negotiable to £75,000 per annum plus package (DOE)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established, highly successful main contractor with expertise across many sectors within the construction industry.

You will be working on behalf of company with a turnover in the region of £650M+ and a team that is 625 people strong, where you will be working on one of the most prestigious projects in the UK at the moment.

The Role:

As Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a large earthworks’ projects based in the Southeast of England.

Duties will include:

  • Providing commercial management of sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Dealing with quotations and monthly payments
  • Preparing, agreeing, and providing on-going cost analysis
  • Preparing cost valuation reports
  • Analysing sub-contractor’s variation accounts
  • Agreeing interim valuations and final accounts
  • Preparing and issuing certification for contract payments to sub-contractors
  • Preparing forecasts
  • Ensuring financial success of project

About you:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience postgraduate with experience in the civil engineering and ground engineering sector preferred
  • Knowledge of NEC3 suite of contracts
  • Have an ability in negotiating across the various levels of the construction environment
  • Confident with clients, meetings, and contractual duties and able to maintain a positive relationship with clients
  • Possess excellent numeracy and IT skills
