Senior Site Manager

Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

Company Overview: Our client is an award-winning medium-sized house builder with a strong reputation for constructing high-quality homes across the East Midlands. They are experiencing exciting growth with over five new housing developments commencing in 2024!

Job Duties:

• Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring superior workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and report on site progress, proactively addressing any issues that may impact project delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to uphold high standards of workmanship and safety on site.

Required Qualifications:

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
• First Aid Certification
• Full UK Driving Licence

Education:

NVQ Level 6 or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in house building and traditional build methods.
• Familiarity with NHBC (National House Building Council) standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management position.
• Additional health and safety certifications.
• Pride in the Job Quality Award - NHBC or LABC

Working Conditions:

• Regular on-site work in various weather conditions.
• Travel to different construction sites may be required.
• Potential for extended hours to meet project deadlines.
