Thorn Baker onstruction are looking for a Site Engineer to employ on a permanent basis, initially to be part of a prestigious, multi-million-pound project in North Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team of professionals regenerating a long derelict brownfield site, converting Listed buildings, and creating new homes of high-quality design and specification, enhancing footpaths and highways, public open space, as well as local habita

Duties to include:

Site Management Duties and Responsibilities
Setting out, levelling and surveying the site
Quality Assurance
Temporary work checks and co-ordination
Checking of plans, drawings and setting out coordination
Ensuring that all work performed, and materials used are as per specifications
Liaison with and managing, monitoring and interpreting construction design drawings supplied by structural engineers, architects and MEP engineers
Develop and then work to programmes, measuring progress and productivity outputs and providing resolution to any conflicts and resolving any issues in relation to such
Developing relationships with suppliers and being involved in the purchasing of suitable materials

Requirements

A degree/HND in engineering or other relevant disciplines
A current valid CSR/CSCS Card
Previous experience of working on large projects
At least 5 years postgraduate experience
Excellent communication skills
A flexible and committed team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
